Stuff I use
Computers
- Main: ThinkPad Z13 Gen 2 with AMD Ryzen 7 PRO 7840U and 32GB of RAM. Works great with Linux.
-
Secondary: Intel NUC Core i7-10710U Edition, 32 GB of RAM. I'm happy
with the form factor that keeps my desk uncluttered.
The machine shows great performance until I reach thermal limits, though.
Works great with Linux.
- Home server: Raspberry Pi 4 (4GB model): great little home server running Ubuntu Server 22.04 LTS.
Software
- Fedora, since version 31. So far it works great on Lenovo laptops, and it's close enough to distros à la Red Hat.
- Vim, but I'm switching to NeoVim in 2024.
- Zsh, an alternative to Bash.
Dev Stack
- Go: I really like this language, I use it for almost all my pers projects. I wrote a note on that
- Python: I still use my ex main language.
- Redis: Redis is great, far beyond simple caching use cases.
- MySQL and PostgreSQL: I like both, but I can't decide which one I like the most.
Photography
- Fuji X-S10: not a high-end camera, but it's compact, lightweight, and has a very good grip despite its small size.
That is, it's my first choice when I go outside.
- Lumix GH5S: better suited for video making, but I love the quality of this camera and its grip. But, it's quite heavy,
so I tend to use it on fixed video setups.
